How it works: This uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation to estimate BMR, then adjusts calories by activity level and goal.

Understanding Your Results

Protein

Supports muscle repair, recovery, strength, and lean body composition.

Carbs

Provide energy for workouts, daily activity, performance, and recovery.

Fats

Support hormones, nutrient absorption, brain health, and overall function.

Daily Calorie Needs: The number of calories a person needs each day depends on height, weight, age, activity level, and whether the goal is to maintain, lose, or gain weight. This calculator estimates basal metabolic rate, then multiplies it by an activity factor.

The Mifflin-St Jeor equation estimates BMR mainly from body weight, height, age, and sex. From there, your goal adjusts calories up or down to create a practical daily target.

Since carbohydrates, proteins, and fats provide most of the body’s energy needs, macro targets are calculated from total calories. Use these numbers as a strong starting point, then adjust based on progress, energy, hunger, recovery, and training performance.
